REFLECTIONS 1989, VOLUME 7

DEDICATION

Reflections 1989 is being dedicated to one of the
most hard working and under estimated individuals

on the Golden Triangle staff Timmy Billups.

His constant smile and laugh have lifted the morale
of numerous students and staff. And we can't forget
his crimson Tide Spirit allowing the Golden Trian-
gle Campus to get the latest sports information. His
sincere dedication to our school is to be commend-
ed. Never does Timmy have one cross word; he's
always willing to help. How many light bulbs over
the past years has he replaced? How many packages
has he received and mailed? How many blades of
grass have fallen to his tractor? How many assem-
blies has he set up and then taken down? His tasks
are so numerous, there's just no way of putting it all
in numbers or words. So for his sincere dedication
to his job and the Golden Triangle Campus, we
hereby dedicate Reflections 1989 to Mr. Timmy Bil-
lups.

ADMINISTRATION

The commitment in time, effort, and dedication,
exhibited by the students, faculty, and staff at this
campus, should make 1988-89 a year that will be
noted as truly outstanding — outstanding from the
standpoint of renewed excellence in every area,
from the desire for self-improvement through edu-
cation expressed by each student to the dedication
and hard work on the part of every faculty and staff
member. We all share in the belief that true success
can only come from the desire for personal excel-
lence in all facets of life. Take the knowledge and
skills that you have developed here and use them to
be successful in all that you undertake. Remember,
also, that you will always be a part of this school
and that its success is dependent upon you.

On behalf of the faculty and staff of this campus,
I wish to congratulate each of you on your accom-
plishments and share with you our pride in you and
this school. In closing, please remember that we
will always be here for you and for the ones that
will follow you, to provide excellence in skills, atti-
tudes, and knowledge.

IN MEMORIAM

BILLY RAY HILL, JR.
August 21, 1969 - March 16, 1989

Quiet, good natured, and a living Christian example to those who knew him, Billy
put more thought and effort into preparing for his future than most young men of
nineteen. His day began at 3 a.m. when he started delivering newspapers to his rural
customers who were also his friends. When he came to class at 8 a.m., he was always
alert, interested, and prepared for the day.

Just after 3 a.m. on Thursday morning, March 16, 1989, Billy's "future" was cut off
in a car crash. Our Electronics class, our school, and perhaps the world is poorer
because of his untimely death but we are all richer for having shared his life for a
while.
